Author Randy Schultz is an NHL.com Correspondent. His viewpoint is that this incredible run by the Montreal Canadiens will not be matched. His purpose of this article is to inform hockey fans of one of, if not the greatest, runs in NHL history by the team with the most history, the Montreal Canadiens. This run was in 1956-1960, a stretch in which the Habs had a record of 198-95-57 and won 5 consecutive Stanley Cup titles. The author has a biased opinion, using several player quotes to back up why he thinks that this run will never be broken. He doesn’t use any slant and there is no conflicting evidence.
I believe that this source is reliable because it has quotes from NHL Hall of Famers that worked with this historic team, such as Maurice “The Rocket” Richard, Jean Beliveau, and Hector “Toe” Blake. Beliveau says that “The power play is much different then than from what it is now. The player in the box would stay in the box until the full penalty time was up, no matter how many goals were scored.” This slanted my thoughts toward thinking that it may have been slightly easier to win then than it is now, because now, if the team on the power play scores a goal, the player being penalized comes out of the box.

Analysis of "Rays' win streak stops at 12"
“Rays’ win streak stopped at 12” is an article by Bob Matuszak, (Special to MLB.com) on the official MLB website (http://tampabay.rays.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20040623&content_id=778283&vkey=recap&fext=.jsp&c_id=tb). It is an article informing baseball fans of the Tampa Bay Rays and other teams of having the Rays’ 12 game win streak snapped at the hands of the Toronto Blue Jays and how that win streak turned their season around. Matuszak did not use any bias in this article because it was basically a run down of how the Rays lost for the first time in 12 games.
Matuszak uses statistical evidence in this article, saying that the Rays were 10-28 before going on the surge that contained the 12 game streak, and 2 games below .500 (33-35) when it ended. This statistic slanted my thinking that this streak turned their season around. There is no conflicting evidence present in this article.
I feel that this source is reliable because the copyright date is 2001-2012, with 2001 being 4 years after the team was formed, and 2012 being the year we are currently in. I also feel that it is reliable because the links around the article have some sort of connection to the Tampa Bay Rays and the ads around it have some sort of connection (either directly or indirectly) with not just the team, but Tampa Bay as a whole. The author quoted players, such as Tampa Bay ’s starting pitcher for that game, Victor Zambrano, the player that scored their only run of the game, Carl Crawford, and the manager, Lou Piniella
